‘Fine councils who miss targets’
The leader of East Riding Council has called on local authorities to be fined if they do not meet renewable energy targets. Councillor Stephen Parnaby made the suggestion after revealing the East Riding was set to surpass its targets. This is despite the Yorkshire and Humber region as a whole performing badly.
